Abstract

The Vietnam War was one of the ugliest wars of the 20th century. Millions were killed and the war itself often misunderstood. Although the main topic of this paper is regarding the question; if God was involved or not during the war, I also explain why the war was often misunderstood. I will also give a simple description of the entire war. Beyond the politics and battlefield statistics, however, Vietnam raises a deeper question: where was God while millions suffered and history seemed to move without mercy? This paper examines that question through the religious convictions, human choices, victories, failures, and enormous loss that defined the war, while asking whether divine involvement can ever be separated from the actions of mankind itself.

Author Biography

Jeremy Tan

Jeremy Tan is an independent researcher who studied Astronomy, Geology, Genetics and World War II History. He went to Mater Carmeli (ALS) and Philippine Cultural College before. He is a toy collector. Jeremy is involved in government and church ministry charities in the Philippines. He is part of the Thermomix PH family and goes to CGC Manila. He is also the Editor-in-Chief, Publisher and Author at Truth in Research.
